Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to empower children and adults with learning disabilities by providing personalized reading instruction that fosters patience and individual progress. We are committed to creating a supportive environment led by skilled educators who inspire confidence and a love for learning.
Our vision is to create a world where every learner, regardless of their challenges, has access to effective reading strategies and the guidance they need to thrive. We aim to unlock potential and individualize each plan step-by-step
Our Why
In 2018, the State of Washington approved a mandate to screen our youngest students for weaknesses associated with dyslexia. However, school districts had until the 2021-22 academic year to implement universal screeners.

Although screeners were in place, many teachers discovered they did not have the training to address students who were flagged with weaknesses.

Many teachers are fabulous in the classroom, yet they have a lack of awareness of strategies to address learning difficulties. Students must be supported in the general education classroom. Universal screener results require intervention prior to referral for special education.

Our "why" began organically with trying to serve the needs of our youngest students. We quickly realized that there was additional need for older students who did not have the opportunity to be assessed at an earlier grade level.

We feel it is important that we help bridge this knowledge and service gap as long as it is needed.
