FAQs

Do you diagnose students for dyslexia or other specific learning disabilities?

No.  Only a licensed psychologist may provide an official diagnosis.

Do we have to sign up for a certain number of sessions?

No.  We do not require a contract.  We will meet with you during the initial consultation and listen to your needs, wants, and wishes.  We strive to create individualized plans.  Please note that teaching and learning strategies can be a long process.  It does require systematic instruction and each individual has their own path.  We cannot say how many sessions your student may need or how much progress they will make until we begin working with  the student.  We value open communication and transparency.

Will the school district pay for your services?

No.  We are not contracted with any school district. School districts do have their own intervention teachers.

Does my student need a diagnosis to receive services?

No.  Your student does not need to be officially diagnosed. We will conduct an intake assessment and discuss the results with you.

Can I choose which consultant I work with?

Our consultants typically have part or full time teaching jobs and may or may not be available with your preferred schedule.  We will discuss matching and your needs during our onboarding.
